Pattern: Spring Beanie and Headband

I made Evie a new headband the other night using Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton Yarn! It is SO soft and one of my favorite yarns to work with. I had plenty of yarn leftover so I decided to make Penelope a matching beanie to go with it! The color I chose is very springy and the light-weight cotton is perfect for the current weather! My favorite part is that I was able to make both the headband and beanie for less than one skein of yarn. Both patterns are very simple and beginner friendly.

Materials:

  • Worsted weight cotton yarn. I used One skein of Hobby Lobbys I love This Cotton! in Pastel.
  • 4.00mm Crochet Hook
  • Yarn needle

Pattern: Sun Bum Tote

Yay! Finally a new pattern to post! I never realized before I started designing my own crochet how much work goes into pattern writing! First there is the idea stage, then the yarn buying stage (my favorite), then the making and frogging and re-doing stage, all while scribbling notes down so I don’t forget what I did. When you finally have the finished product.. Bam!! Now you have to type up the pattern, find testers, send to testers, wait for your testers to give you feedback. Edit the pattern, take pretty pictures, post on Instagram AND still have to make a listing on Etsy. PHEW! I’m so amazed at all the support I get for my patterns and I love to be able to give back. I hope you like my newest pattern The Sun Bum Tote!

  • Yarn Needle

Pattern: Fuzzy Bunny Ears Headband

I’ve had this fur yarn in my stash for a while now and could never decide what to do with it. My 3 year old recently asked for a pair of bunny ears to wear after seeing all the Easter stuff in stores and it clicked! I whipped these Fuzzy Bunny Ears up during my youngest daughters afternoon nap, they are that quick! The fur is so soft and fluffy and the flowers just scream spring to me. I hope you guys enjoy this pattern!

Pattern: Sarah Crop Top

My sister recently asked for a ribbed crop top and this is what I came up with! Now this is more of a guide/how to instead of a specific stitch count pattern. You can basically use this as a guideline to make your own top! It’s really easy and as long as you continue to try it on as you go and check your size it should come out great! I used the new Sugarspun yarn by Loops & Threads. I know this yarn isn’t available everywhere yet but you can use any light weight yarn. Im sure worsted weight would work just as well! I plan on making another one using a soft cotton yarn for a more summertime feel! 🙂 Remember you can always leave a comment or send me a DM on Instagram if you need any help or have questions!

Pattern: Granny Square Crop Top

I’ve never liked the cold and only enjoy snow during the holidays, so I can not wait for summer! I decided to make a crop top and of course had to add some colorful granny squares. This pattern is pretty simple. If you can make a granny square and know how to single crochet, then you can make this top!

Pattern: The Pebbles Beanie

Who else thinks of fruity pebbles when they see the Hudson Bay color from Lion brand Wool-ease yarn?? It’s not just me right? That’s how this hat got the name the Pebbles Beanie! This pattern fits the average woman’s head but is easily customizable by adding more or less rows and stitches. This beanie is made to be fitted instead of slouchy, so if you like a slouchier look be sure to add more chains in the beginning!

Don’t forget to tag me on Instagram if you make a Pebbles Beanie! I love seeing your creations! 🙂

Materials:

  • 8mm crochet hook

  • Super bulky yarn in 2 colors. I used Lion brand wool-ease thick and quick in Fisherman and Hudson Bay.

  • Yarn needle

Tutorial: Faux Fur PomPoms

Faux fur pompoms are super popular right now. I’ve gotten a lot of interest on how I make mine. Store bought pompoms can sometimes be hard to find and get expensive, so I put together a quick tutorial on how to make your own!

If you decide to make some be sure to tag me on Instagram so I can see! I love seeing everyones creations!

Pattern: The Basic Chunky Slouch

This basic slouchy beanie is the perfect hat using super bulky yarn. It’s super easy to adjust the length and size of the hat as needed. The pattern shown will make a hat that fits the average woman’s head. If you want something slouchier add more chains in the beginning. If you want it larger, just add more rows! Simple and fast!

Be sure to follow and tag me with your finished hat on Instagram! I love seeing your work!

Materials:

  • Super bulky yarn (6) I used
Cozy Wool Yarn by Loops & Threads
In Sandstone. I used an entire skein and just barely had enough, so if your hat is for a Man or you want it to be bigger/slouchier be sure to get an extra skein

  • 9mm Crochet Hook

  • Yarn Needle

Pattern: Aztec Top for baby and toddler

So originally this was going to be a top for my 8 month old daughter, but when my 3 year old saw it she just HAD to try it on. It turned out to be a super cute toddler crop top AND adorable baby top all in one! My straps are a bit on the shorter side for my 3 year old so if your top is going to be a toddler I suggest making them a bit longer.

If you make a top be sure to TAG ME on Instagram so I can see! 🙂

Materials:

  • 4.25mm Crochet hook. I love using these for cotton yarn, they slide through the stitches really well.
  • Worsted weight cotton yarn. I Used Lily Sugar’n Cream. Off White, Hot Orange and Light Blue.
  • Yarn Needle

Pattern: Hair Scrunchies

I decided to experiment and made 3 different types of hair ties for my 2 year old daughter! They were super simple to make and look so cute! All you will need for this project is any size hair tie, I used smaller ones for toddler hair, and scrap yarn.Â
