When I went shopping at JOANN for yarn for my new beanie design I didn’t really have a specific color in mind. I did know that I wanted to do something with an ombre look to it. So I knew I would be on a mission for a few different colors from light to dark. When I tell you these 4 colors just called to me from the shelf…they were perfect.
Now, I know..I know.. technically the yarn colors are “rose”. But when I was naming my design I couldn’t stop thinking of cranberry frost. I thought it went so well, especially with how frosty and cold out it is.
This pattern is really fun to make. I use the alternate spike St throughout. It gives it almost a waistcoat stitch look in my opinion! You need to make sure that you join and turn after every round of the main portion of the beanie. Don’t forget!
I can only imagine the different color combos that can be used for this beanie! So many options! I think one with white, light grey, charcoal and then black would be so cute! If you need a little bit of extra help, I got you covered! I have a full video tutorial of The Cranberry Frost Beanie on my YouTube channel!
