Laurel Hill was created 20 years ago in Eugene, Oregon by Rick Brown. Since then, the company has continued to grow and is currently co-operated by Rick and his son Danny!

This is an environmentally friendly company which produces high quality crochet and knitting tools! They offer crochet hooks, knitting needles and accessories at a reasonable price. One of the coolest parts about these tools is the exotic wood they use.  The hooks and needles are made from Forest Palm, Ebony, Nam, Oc and Trai. Not only do they use these different exotic woods but they also source the materials from furniture and musical instrument factories! Check them out here!

I love that the company uses sustainable products and is environmentally friendly. They also listen to what their audience wants and needs! After all, the crocheter and knitter who uses the tools knows what is best! When people expressed that they wanted needles that were comfortable to use with arthritis, Laurel Hill developed four sided and triangular needles!

My favorite part about these hooks are the thumb rest. I love that there is a flat section for my thumb to rest on. It is definitely the most comfortable style hook that I have! It’s great for crocheters like me who crochet for long periods of time. I also plan on teaching my oldest daughter how to crochet with a Laurel Hill hook!

These hooks are super sturdy and I have never had an issue with any of mine breaking/snapping. Another awesome feature is the pointed tip of the hook. I prefer my hooks to be less rounded on top so it can easily glide into my stitch without snagging! Laurel Hill hooks do just that.
