The Adagio Throw Crochet Pattern

Am I really posting my first crochet pattern of 2025?! That is just crazy to me! I am so grateful to have you all here with me at the start of the new year. 🙂 First up, The Adagio Throw crochet pattern!

When I like the stitch/stitches of one of my previous designs I like to try and use it in multiple other patterns. First was the Echoes Cardigan which was one of my top patterns this past fall. I knew I wanted to make a beanie/scarf set that was similar but used 2 yarns instead of one for a striped look- The Arpeggio Set. I’ve known since making the Echoes that I was going to make a blanket as well, haha! I decided to keep the 2 yarn look for this one as well. You also just might be seeing an Echoes Pullover here in the near future, stay tuned!

A little bit about the blanket- It’s worked from the bottom up. You will be switching yarn colors every 2 rows. However, you do NOT need to cut that yarn. We will be creating small floats on the left side of the blanket which we will later crochet the border over to hide. Which means, you only have a few ends to weave in instead of a million! Simply leave your yarn color at the end of the row without cutting, when you come back to it, pick it back up and drop the other yarn! Be sure to check out my video tutorial if you need a visual of this. I walk you through the whole thing from start to finish!

The Mountain Sunrise Throw

I’m hosting a Crochet Along! I’m so excited you guys, it’s been a while since i’ve done a CAL and I’m pumped to be hosting one for The Mountain Sunrise Throw! Keep reading for all the info you need on where to join the CAL and the next steps to get started!

The Mountain Sunrise Throw is easy breezy to work up, beginner friendly, has bouncy stitches, amazing drape and is FUN to crochet!! I hope you guys are excited to crochet along with me!

What do I do first?

The CAL officially starts on March 20th 2023! I wanted to give you guys plenty of time to get all of the materials before we start.

The Windermere Throw Crochet Pattern

At least once a year I try and design a throw blanket that uses a Super Bulky yarn and works up quickly. There is just something so satisfying about crocheting a big comfy blanket in a week! The Windermere Throw crochet pattern is the perfect pattern for that!

I used Lion Brand Re-Spun Thick & Quick in the colors Pumice and Wisteria. You only need 3 skeins of each color to make this big blanket! This yarn is part of the sustainable stitching line at Lion Brand. Its 100% recycled polyester and is made from recycled plastic, keeping bottles and other waste out of our oceans and landfills! It’s super soft and easy to work with and you are doing good for our planet when you use it!

There are so many different cute color combos you can use in this pattern. I think a black and white, or a cream and blue would look so pretty! Be sure to check out the different colors of the Re-Spun yarn if you are purchasing the kit! If you grab the kit, you get a free digital copy of the printable pattern! Lion Brand frequently has sales so you can get the kit at a discounted price! Be sure you are following me on Instagram and subscribe to my email list where I tell you about these sales!

The construction of this blanket is slightly different than your usual row by row blanket. I know big projects can sometimes be mundane so I wanted to keep it interesting! You will be making 2 end panels and 1 main panel! This breaks the project up into easily attainable goals. Once you make all 3 panels, you join them together with a row of Sc stitches! It’s super easy! I also used mostly treble crochet stitches in this project so your throw will grow quickly! Don’t be scared of the color work. Its very minimal and easy to do.

If you like this crochet blanket pattern, be sure to check out some of my other ones too!

The Fitzwilliam Throw Blanket- A Free Crochet Pattern

So, I don’t know about you guys but I plan on staying home as much as possible this year and doing all my shopping online! I would much rather be cozied up under a squishy blanket instead of fighting the crowds to get my shopping done haha! I made the perfect blanket to do just that- The Fitzwilliam Throw Blanket!

The Fitzwilliam Throw Blanket is made with Lion Brand Cover Story yarn and Lion Brand Go For Faux Thick and Quick yarn! Both of these were the perfect combo to whip this up in record time. I think I worked on it on and off for only a few nights!

You can find all the yarn you need at JOANN stores! They had a ton of Go For Faux Thick & Quick colors to choose from. I was so excited when I came across the color “Zebra” because it reminded me of my dog- Fitzwilliam! If you’re not a fan of animal prints they also have a bunch of solid colors too.
