The Second Star Lace Tee crochet pattern carries a deeper meaning for me. It was created during a really difficult time in my life while I was caring for and saying goodbye to my sweet senior yorkie, Peter, who was my constant companion. He was gentle, loving, and happiest when he was held close like a baby, my little shadow through everything. Naming this piece Second Star is a nod to him, inspired by the idea of finding something precious and steady to hold onto, even in the hardest moments. I don’t normally get personal on my blog posts but it doesn’t feel right to not talk about Petey. After all, he has been with me through everything and half my business is named after him. That does bring me some peace to know he will live on through “Evelyn And Peter”. He was just shy of his 16th birthday when we had to say goodbye. I miss him terribly and i’m sure many of you can relate.
