I’ve been eyeing this super chunky yarn from Hobby Lobby for a loooong time. I really wanted to make a chunky crochet blanket for myself but could never get myself to buy all the yarn required. When I saw it go on sale for only 4.89 I decided to go for it! It took a total of 13 Ivory skeins and 2 grey. I know it can be difficult to force yourself to buy so much yarn at once but I promise it will be worth it! This is definitely the coziest blanket ever and the yarn is a dream to work with. SO soft!

I’ve been getting a ton of requests for a pattern using the waistcoat stitch, so The Snow Cone Beanie is born! If you follow me on Instagram you know that i’ve been creating a lot of designs using this stitch and its one of my favs! I’m working on getting a youtube channel set up so I can have videos for all of you to go with my patterns…but for now, I’ll be linking you to videos created by others that I find helpful!
The yarn I used for this pattern is super chunky! Be sure you are using a yarn weight of at least 6. I recommend Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick if you don’t have any WAK on hand.

I was recently requested to write up a pattern for a kids fringe crop top! Even though it’s only 50 degrees out today it’s hot in other parts of the world right?! 🙂 So the fringe crop top was born! I think it’s definitely a crochet pattern staple to have when you have little ones running around. It’s super cute for photo shoots or to just wear outside during the hot summer days. I included 3 different sizes but it is VERY easy to adjust even further if you need to. To make it wider, add more chains to the starting chain. To make it longer or shorter, add or take away rows.

Yay! Finally a new pattern to post! I never realized before I started designing my own crochet how much work goes into pattern writing! First there is the idea stage, then the yarn buying stage (my favorite), then the making and frogging and re-doing stage, all while scribbling notes down so I don’t forget what I did. When you finally have the finished product.. Bam!! Now you have to type up the pattern, find testers, send to testers, wait for your testers to give you feedback. Edit the pattern, take pretty pictures, post on Instagram AND still have to make a listing on Etsy. PHEW! I’m so amazed at all the support I get for my patterns and I love to be able to give back. I’ve never liked the cold and only enjoy snow during the holidays, so I can not wait for summer! I decided to make a crop top and of course had to add some colorful granny squares. This pattern is pretty simple. If you can make a granny square and know how to single crochet, then you can make this top!

The Jessie Beanie
I’ve finally started to settle into more of a routine with my youngest, who is a terrible sleeper! I’ve been able to have a lot more free time to work on my business! As some of you know I’ve been working hard on getting patterns and finished crochet products up on my Etsy Shop. This is a really fun and easy hat pattern to complete, as soon as you get the stitch down you will be able to knock out a hat in an hour or two! This pattern uses bulky yarn but can easily be customizable with worsted or super bulky yarn!
Materials:

Bulky yarn (5) I used less than one skein of Loops and Threads Charisma.

Notes:
The main portion of the hat is first worked back and fourth in rows. You will then attach your yarn at the bottom and work in rounds to make the brim.
I recently made this super cute crochet pillow for my couch! It works up really fast and was a quick, fun project. I found the pattern from Jo-Anns!
I used two strands of Bernat Blanket Yarn in Vintage White.
See how soft and squishy…
Love the vintage white color against the grey couch.
They also have two more pillow patterns to go along with this one! Im thinking I’ll have to make them both for a matching set.
