Pattern: Cozy Slipper Socks

I love slippers and always seem to be buying cute pairs when I make target runs, ordering them from amazon and I always seem to be browsing for the latest MukLuks. My 2 year old pup recently stole one of my favorite pairs and proceeded to destroy them in the backyard. Sigh… he’s lucky he’s cute. Which leads me to making and writing up this pattern for Cozy Slipper Socks to add to my collection. 🙂

This pattern will fit and average sized adult female foot. I am a size 8 and made it to fit me perfectly. If you want a smaller or bigger pair just add more rows where indicated. Don’t be afraid to play around with the sizing!

Materials:

Pattern: Granny Square Crop Top

I’ve never liked the cold and only enjoy snow during the holidays, so I can not wait for summer! I decided to make a crop top and of course had to add some colorful granny squares. This pattern is pretty simple. If you can make a granny square and know how to single crochet, then you can make this top!

Pattern: Heart Headband

A quick and easy heart headband pattern to make for your little ones for Valentine’s Day (or any day!) It’s really cute and also a great pattern to practice color changes! You can easily adjust this headband to fit a larger head by adding more chains in the beginning and end. I chained enough so it would fit my  9 month old daughter.

Be sure to tag me on Instagram with your headband creations! I love seeing your work!

Materials:

  • 4.25mm Crochet Hook
  • Small amount of worsted weight yarn in 2 colors. I just used your basic Super Saver  Red Heart Yarn.
  • Yarn needle

Pattern: Aztec Top for baby and toddler

So originally this was going to be a top for my 8 month old daughter, but when my 3 year old saw it she just HAD to try it on. It turned out to be a super cute toddler crop top AND adorable baby top all in one! My straps are a bit on the shorter side for my 3 year old so if your top is going to be a toddler I suggest making them a bit longer.

If you make a top be sure to TAG ME on Instagram so I can see! 🙂

Materials:

  • 4.25mm Crochet hook. I love using these for cotton yarn, they slide through the stitches really well.
  • Worsted weight cotton yarn. I Used Lily Sugar’n Cream. Off White, Hot Orange and Light Blue.
  • Yarn Needle

Pattern: Crochet Plaid Headband

I had so much fun making Whistle and Ivy’s plaid hat, that I decided to whip up a matching crochet plaid headband for my daughter! This pattern is kid’s size but is easily made larger or smaller by changing the beginning chain length. Just be sure to use multiples of 6. Definitely head over to the Whistle and Ivy blog to see her awesome tutorial on how to achieve this plaid look.

Materials:

  • Worsted weight yarn in 3 colors (I used Red, Dark Red and black)

  • 5mm crochet hook

  • yarn needle

Pattern: Outdoor crochet rope rug

I wanted a nice, durable outdoor rug to help catch some of the dirt and grass by the doggy door from my crazy pups who are constantly in and out of the house. I found some Jute rope at Michaels that worked perfectly. This pattern is really simple and versatile. The rows repeat themselves so feel free to stop when you want or add more rows if you want a longer rug! It works up really quick and was fun to make!

Materials:

Jute rope- I used just under 3 rolls of 4ply jute by bead landing.

Size Q crochet hook

Scrap fabric or cotton yarn (optional)

Chain 21

Row 1: Sc back down the chain

Row 2: Ch 2 and turn, dc across

Row 3: Ch 1 and turn, Sc across

Rows 4-21: Repeat rows 2 and 3

turn, slip stitch across. Tie off and weave in ends.

You can continue on by repeating the rows of sc and dc if you want your rug longer, or do less for a shorter rug. I wanted a little bit of color in mine so I decided to weave some scrap cotton yarn through the rows of dc. I used 3 strands of yarn by braiding them together before weaving through the rows. Scrap fabric torn into strips or colored rope would work for this as well.

Pattern: Flower Vase

I decided to make a vase for some of my decorative flowers instead of buying one.  I chose to crochet with 2 strands of yarn together to give it a bit more stiffness and be able to stand up better. I thought it turned out really cute using two different colors at the same time. I chose a blue and cream color to go with my other decor. This is a really simple pattern, I recommend using a cotton yarn so the final product will be firm.

Pattern: Simple boho headband

This is a really simple pattern for a cute headband with “boho” style. This is the perfect project for a beginner, or if you need to make something quick! It works up really fast and would be great to sell at craft fairs. It’s also really customizable. You can make it smaller just by chaining less. I plan on making one for my 2 year old daughter! Let me know what you think!

Pattern: Hair Scrunchies

I decided to experiment and made 3 different types of hair ties for my 2 year old daughter! They were super simple to make and look so cute! All you will need for this project is any size hair tie, I used smaller ones for toddler hair, and scrap yarn.

Pattern: Flower Crown

Im pregnant with my second daughter and her due date is right around the corner! We plan on getting her newborn pictures done and I wanted her to wear some of my own creations. I decided to make this cute flower crown for her to wear. Her big sister was happy to model it for me and I loved how it turned out! This is a great newborn photo prop because of how easy it is to put on, take off and tighten! Great pattern for someone just starting out with crochet!
