It’s a new year which means a bunch of new free patterns on the blog! I have a lot of fun stuff in the works for you all and to start it off i’m posting this super chunky beanie! Now, this beanie is a tiny bit different because i’m using a stitch that’s not technically a real stitch, I guess you could say. You’ve heard of the Center single crochet or “waistcoat” stitch right? well this uses that stitch except it’s “extended”. I’ve just added one more yarn over in the stitch. Below are a couple of video tutorials for you to get a visual. I promise its super easy!

My Plaid About You Beanie and My Oso Plaid Beanie are 2 of my most popular patterns! I’ve had a lot of requests for more plaid design options and a pine tree was the top voted. I wanted something loose and comfy to throw on over a sports bra for coverage but didn’t want to be dying of heat! It’s 100 degrees in the summertime here in Utah so the Cross-Back Crochet Top worked out perfectly. I used Lion Brand 24/7 cotton but any cotton yarn will work. It works out perfectly for active wear but it would be super cute dressed up with a pair of jeans too! This pattern is super easy and uses Dc throughout. A larger hook is used for more of a loose fit so be sure to size up if you crochet with a tight tension.

I’ve had a lot of fun experimenting with Tunisian Crochet. One of my favorite stitches to use is the knit stitch. I absolutely love how it looks while incorporating color work! Hi everyone! Im SO excited to share with you guys the pattern for my French Moss Top! This is my very first Tunisian crochet pattern I am releasing so i’m a bit nervous. This was also my very first youtube tutorial! When Lion Brand Yarn contacted me to offer yarn support on a pattern, I decided I wanted to do something completely different. I wanted to challenge myself and do something outside of my comfort zone. I think I ended up doing exactly that! I found out through this process that I actually really liked recording my tutorial. It is a lot of work and more time consuming but it was also really fun. Im already starting my second video! It’s far from perfect and I have a lot to learn but thats how we grow right?!
