My Plaid About You Beanie and My Oso Plaid Beanie are 2 of my most popular patterns! I’ve had a lot of requests for more plaid design options and a pine tree was the top voted. A deer head came in close second so maybe that will be my next one! Have you guys made either beanie yet? The fit of this beanie is a bit different than my others. I decided to make it fitted instead of slouchy and I love how it turned out. Be sure to tag me in your photos on instagram, I love to see your work!

Repeat Row 2 for approximately 110 rows OR when you reach about 18” across (un-stretched).
Fold your band in half and Sl St the first and last row together to form a circle. Turn your work correct side out. Rotate your work, you will now begin to work along the top of the band, in the round.
Round 1: Ch 1. Work 70 Sc evenly around the top of the band. Join to the first St with a Sl St.
You will now be adding the chart into your rounds. Beginning here you will be working in Center Single Crochet or “waistcoat St”. You will be starting your first color change at round 2, stitch 35 of the hat. Continue reading the chart right to left for each round. 1 square counts as 1 Csc. Switch colors where indicated. Each round as 70 stitches.

Tie off, leaving a long tail to sew top of hat shut and add pompom.
Using a yarn needle, weave the tail in and out of the outer loops of the remaining 5 stitches. Pull tight to close. Tie a knot on the inside of the hat to secure and weave through a couple of times. If you are adding a pompom use the same yarn to sew to the top of your hat.
Weave in all ends.
