Pattern: The Beehive Bag

It’s time for another blog hop! I’m excited to be a part of the bunny blog hop with some very talented crochet designers. We have a whole bunch of fun and free, spring patterns coming to you this week! I had a bunch of Comfy Cotton yarn on hand and knew I wanted to design a bag with it. My goal was to make it easy and quick. This pattern uses 2 strands of yarn held together at the same time. You could also use a bigger weight yarn and hold just 1 strand too! The bag closes with a drawstring so you don’t have to worry about buttons or clasps. I hope you guys like it! Be sure to scroll down and see the other free patterns available!

Pattern: Summer Nights Shawl

Is it summer yet?! Nope, it’s not even spring yet. lol. I’m hoping that if I make all of the warm weather things it will force the sunshine to come. Let’s see if it works. 🙂 The Summer Nights Shawl is a super fun and quick make to work up while you’re netflixing. It’s a very easy mesh stitch with a simple repeat row. It’s worked up double stranded with the light and superfine yarn. If you don’t have both yarns available, I recommend using just a basic worsted weight yarn!

Be sure to follow me on Instagram and tag me with your finished shawl! I love to share your work with my followers. 🙂

Materials:

  • Light (3) weight cotton yarn. Pattern uses Lion Brand Comfy Cotton in “whipped Cream”. 200 yards.
  • Superfine (1) weight yarn. Pattern uses Lion Brand Summer Nights in “blue Lagoon”. 215 yards.
  • 5.00mm Crochet Hook
  • Optional- If you add tassels or fringe, you will need more yarn then noted above.

Pattern: Jumbo Crochet Floor Pouf

My friends over at Becozi sent me this really cool jumbo tube yarn! This is my first time using a yarn this big and I loved it. I ended up using my hands/arms to crochet the floor pouf instead of a hook. If you would rather use a hook instead, a 30.00mm size should work perfectly! This pouf works up super quickly…like 20 minutes quickly. It’s also easy to customize for a larger pouf. 🙂

Pattern: Giant Granny Square cushion

When BeCozi sent me some of their super soft and cozy Chenille yarn, I knew I had to make something awesome with it! I know big chunky blankets are popular with this yarn but I wanted to do something a little bit different. I decided to go with a floor cushion for the girls to sit on (or who am I kidding…the dog to sleep on lol) but I didn’t want it to be basic and boring. I love granny squares so I knew I had to incorporate that into my design! I hope you guys enjoy the pattern.

Be sure to pin for later and tag me on Instagram so I can see your work!

Notes:

  • Cushion is made in 2 panels and slip stitched together.
  • The front panel is a classic granny square. The back panel is double crochet rows.
  • The Ch 3 at the beginning of each round and row counts as 1 Dc.
  • The Ch 4 counts as 1 Dc and 1 Ch.

Pattern: Plaid Pines Crochet Beanie

My Plaid About You Beanie and My Oso Plaid Beanie are 2 of my most popular patterns! I’ve had a lot of requests for more plaid design options and a pine tree was the top voted.  A deer head came in close second so maybe that will be my next one! Have you guys made either beanie yet? The fit of this beanie is a bit different than my others. I decided to make it fitted instead of slouchy and I love how it turned out. Be sure to tag me in your photos on instagram, I love to see your work!

Don’t forget to Pin to your pinterest boards!

Materials:

  • Worsted Weight (4) yarn. Pattern uses Vanna’s Choice by Lion Brand. Yards needed- 160 yards (main color), 25 yards (black), 25 yards (green)
  • 5.00mm Crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • PomPom (optional)

Pattern: Cross-Back Crochet Top

I wanted something loose and comfy to throw on over a sports bra for coverage but didn’t want to be dying of heat! It’s 100 degrees in the summertime here in Utah so the Cross-Back Crochet Top worked out perfectly. I used Lion Brand 24/7 cotton but any cotton yarn will work. It works out perfectly for active wear but it would be super cute dressed up with a pair of jeans too! This pattern is super easy and uses Dc throughout. A larger hook is used for more of a loose fit so be sure to size up if you crochet with a tight tension.
