Pattern: Jumbo Crochet Floor Pouf
My friends over at Becozi sent me this really cool jumbo tube yarn! This is my first time using a yarn this big and I loved it. I ended up using my hands/arms to crochet the floor pouf instead of a hook. If you would rather use a hook instead, a 30.00mm size should work perfectly! This pouf works up super quickly…like 20 minutes quickly. It’s also easy to customize for a larger pouf. 🙂
Materials:
- Chunky Cotton Tube Yarn from BecoziÂ
- 30.00mm Crochet Hook or larger if you can find one. (or 2 hands)
- Poly-Fil
Notes:
- If you are using a hook, be sure to not crochet too tightly. This yarn is super thick and is easier to work with if you have a loose tension.
- HERE is a helpful video if you don’t know how to arm crochet!
- Do not join after each round. You will work in continuous rounds. Tip- use a small strand of scrap yarn as a stitch marker.
- HERE is a video on how to close your pouf.
Size: 16″ wide, 11″ tall (for a larger pouf, start with more Sc in round 1)
Pattern:
Begin with a Magic Loop
Round 1: Ch 1(does not count as St). Work 7 Sc into the loop. Pull tight to close.
Round 2: 2 Hdc in each St around. (14 Hdc)
Round 3: 1 Hdc (BLO) in each St around. (14 Hdc)
Rounds 4 & 5: 1 Sc in each St around. (14 Sc)
Round 6: *1 Hdc, Hdc2tog* Repeat around.
Tie Off. With your remaining yarn, loop it through the outer loops only of each St around (view video above). Stuff your pouf with Poly-Fil until firm. Pull tight to close. Tuck the tail of the yarn into the pouf.
