The Midnight Dunes Set

When I got my hands on Lion Brand Merino Camel I knew immediately I wanted to make a matching beanie and fingerless mitt set. The super soft and fine yarn was perfect for the Midnight Dunes Set!

The colors reminded me of a nautical east coast chilly beach feel. I asked my followers on Instagram what they thought a good name would be and someone suggested The Midnight Dunes set! A really fitting name in my opinion!

This set is great for an advanced beginner. Maybe you already have the basics down and want to try out something a bit more challenging then scroll on down! You will be doing some color work and fun stitches.

I even made full VIDEO tutorials for both the beanie and the mitts! So if your still new to crocheting you can follow right along! You can find the beanie video here and the mitt video here!

DIY Faux Fur Pillow- Off The Hook Yarn

I know i’m not the only one who likes the faux fur yarn, right? I know that the normal fur yarn can be super intimidating because it can be hard to see your stitches! Luckily, I have a solution for you! This yarn is called “off the hook” yarn which means you don’t need to use any hooks or needles! I designed a super easy tutorial to make a DIY Faux Fur Pillow for you!

You may be asking yourself, “How will we make something without a hook?!” Well, the answer is using our hands! The off the hook yarn has little loops all along the strand. You take these loops and pull another loop through to create your stitch.

I wanted to have a super easy tutorial so you guys could get a feel for it. I created the DIY Faux Fur Pillow tutorial! You can watch the full video where I walk you through making the pillow step by step!

The Indigo Sun Wrap

I ordered some Lion Brand Pima Cotton on a whim a couple of months ago. I had no plans on what I wanted to make but I couldn’t say no to these colors. After picking out 4 favorites for my color palette I knew I would end up doing something with stripes. And that’s how the Indigo Sun Wrap was born!

The Indigo Sun Wrap was so relaxing and fun to make. All you need to do is crochet 2 rectangles and make one short seam to join them together! The pattern uses moss stitch. Moss stitch is one of my absolute favorites! This one is not worked in a way you are probably used to though. It’s actually worked up corner to corner instead of horizontal!

Im a huge fan of all things corner 2 corner. So when I found out you could make the moss stitch corner 2 corner I knew I had to design something with it! You can check out a couple of  my previous normal C2C designs here and here.

I also made a full video tutorial on the Indigo Sun Wrap as well! If you want a visual on how to make the moss c2c then this video will be perfect for you! View it here or scroll down to check it out!

If you love the moss stitch then this pattern is for you! Learn a new way to use this stitch by working it corner to corner. The gorgeous striping and bold colors make this wrap a statement piece.

Crochet Jute Cord Tray

How is it already November?! This year has flown by and also moved in slow motion at the same time, haha! With the holidays coming up I wanted something fun to display on my dining room table. This crochet jute cord tray is perfect for exactly that!

Not only can you use it for a fun “Friendsgiving” display but you can easily change out the decor with every season! I think this crochet jute cord tray would be adorable with Christmas decorations on it too!

For this tray we will be crocheting around the actual rope. This is a bit different then holding double stranded and might be a new concept to you! It’s a lot of fun and I know you will love it!

If you love this project and want to make more home decor, be sure to check out my t-shirt rug pattern too!

The Mae Flower Knit Cowl

I’ve been loving to knit a bit more then usual. My main love is crochet of course and that’s what I feel the most comfortable doing but I think it’s good to do things that you aren’t as confident in so you can grow! The Mae Flower Knit Cowl was one of those things!

The Mae Flower Knit Cowl is super beginner friendly. Like “if you have never knit before beginner friendly”. If you are a crocheter like me I would love to see you give this a shot and learn along with me! 🙂

I made a video tutorial to walk new knitters through this pattern. If you are familiar with knitting you can definitely make The Mae Flower Cowl without any visual help.

The Mae Flower Cowl is also really fast to work up. It uses super bulky yarn and large needles so this can be made up in about half an hour if you are an experienced knitter!

One of my favorite parts about this cowl is how versatile it is! Don’t have the right size needles? No worries, just size down and cast on a couple more stitches when you start. Only have bulky yarn instead of super bulky? No problem! You can just use slightly smaller needles and add more stitches! It’s really easy to adjust.

Crochet Ghost Amigurumi

I’m a little blown away over the love I have received for the crochet ghost amigurumi! I don’t crochet many stuffed animals or dolls so this was a nice surprise that so many people loved it! Should I keep making more? 🙂

This particular ghost is very easy to make. I love that I decided to use blanket yarn so that It would work up large and squishy! You can use any blanket yarn you have available to you. I recommend using one that is a Super Bulky (6) weight.

It’s also super fun to customize your ghost. I’ll show you how I made my ghost face but you can always change it up too! Make a different mouth shape, have the eyes open or closed…so many options to make it unique!

The Easiest Crochet Cowl Ever!

Are you ready to make the easiest crochet cowl EVER? No joke, this cowl is fast, beginner friendly and even comes with a video tutorial!

I love being able to work with bulky yarn. There’s just something so satisfying about seeing your piece work up so quickly. And it’s even extra satisfying when you only have to use 1 skein!

I used Lion Brand + Two Of Wands new yarn “Hue + Me”. If you haven’t been able to try it out yet you need to get your hands on some! It comes in so many beautiful colors. I was able to try out a bunch of them and love them all!

This cowl is very beginner friendly. It would be perfect for somebody attempting their first project. They are also great to whip up really fast to sell at craft shows. Or maybe you have an online Etsy shop where you sell your finished work? These would be perfect for you!

I have another really quick beginner friendly pattern and tutorial if you enjoyed this one. Check out the Market Mitts written pattern here or the Market Mitts video tutorial here!

The Streetlight Cardigan Crochet Pattern

Is it really that time again? The Countdown To Christmas Campaign with Lion Brand has begun and I’m so excited to once again be featured in it! This year I’m sharing the Streetlight Cardigan with you guys!

This cozy bomber style cardigan flew off my hook not even kidding. It was SO quick to make because I used a bulky weight yarn! I also wanted it to be beginner friendly so there isn’t really anything tricky in this design either. I designed it for sizes XS-5X but it’s also really easy to customize your length if you wanted to!

You might notice the Streetlight Cardigan is a little similar to the pattern I made last year for this campaign- The Cozy Boyfriend Cardigan. What can I say, I have a thing for grey I guess! haha.

The Moonstone Throw Crochet Pattern

The Moonstone Throw crochet pattern is heeeeere! This one was so much fun for me to make. I wanted something simple that was easy enough for a beginner but also wasn’t toooo simple that it would be boring.

Each different color uses the same stitch throughout the blanket. And the blanket is actually only 4 big repeats of the same section! If you like to always have a big project to work on in your WIP rotation then you definitely have to start the Moonstone Throw.

Have you used Lion Brand Pound Of Love before? If not, you have got to give it a shot! This yarn is perfect for blankets in my opinion. It comes in a HUGE skein…a whole pound! It’s also super affordable for all of that yarn. Only $11.69 for an entire 1,020 yards. That is craaaaazy! Also, it has so many cute color options!!

You guys know that I’m blanket obsessed. Here are a couple other free blanket patterns- The Hello Sunshine Afghan and The Draped In Dogs Afghan.

Description:

The Moonstone Throw crochet pattern is a fun beginner blanket with an easy color and stitch repeat. The stripes are modern and fit with any home decor.

Market Mitts Crochet Pattern

The Market Mitts crochet pattern is actually an older pattern of mine. I designed these for crocheters who sell lots of crochet items at markets and need to make things in bulk! These things work up sooooo fast let me tell you! You can make a pair of these in adult size in less than half an hour. It also takes less than 1 skein of WET&Q so you can make multiple gloves from one skein!

I’ve been wanting to work on building my YouTube channel for a while now and I’m so excited to announce that I have a tutorial video available for the Market Mitts Crochet Pattern! I hope you will check it out and give it a thumbs up. I plan on adding more tutorials to my channel so you might as well subscribe too! 😉
