It’s finally heeeeerrrreee!! I’m so excited to bring you guys The Draped In Dogs Afghan! Many of you will recognize it’s counterpart- The Covered In Cats Afghan. Both are available for free here! It’s been a fun competition of cats vs. dogs. 🙂 This is the same construction as my cat blanket using corner 2 corner crochet. I have some resources available to you below if you are new to c2c. Please check them out for all the things you need to know to be successful with corner 2 corner!

  • This blanket is available as a kit through Lion Brand. Get it here! It is currently 45% off with code “DEC45” at checkout. That is a reallllly good deal for a project this large. • 5.00mm (H) Crochet Hook

  • Yarn Needle

Gauge: 5 tiles by 5 tiles= 4X4”

Finished Blanket Measurements:

52” by 68”

Pattern Notes:

  • The graph is read from the bottom right corner to the top left corner. You will be working diagonally and reading the rows from left to right and then right to left.

  • Each square on the graph counts as one block. One block consists of one 3 Ch and 3 Dc.

  • You will be turning after every row.

  • I recommend printing the graph and crossing off each row as you go.

  • Color A- “Ecru” (main color), Color B- “Taupe Heather” (secondary color)

Need help learning how to work corner 2 corner crochet? No worries, It’s EASY! Click below to view some awesome tips, tricks and tutorials on all things c2c!

I offer the fully written out pattern with row by row instructions. This is a ad-free pdf available on both Etsy and Ravelry. I know some people work better with written instruction verses just viewing a graph!

Trim: With color A, work single crochet stitches evenly around the blanket. You will be making 3 single crochet into the same stitch at all 4 corners (to keep the corners from curling). You will be working approximately 3 single crochet per block around the blanket. When you reach the bottom left side at rows 51-93 switch to Color B. Switch back to Color A for the remainder of the edging. Sl St into the first single crochet stitch to join.

Tie off and weave in all ends.

I hope you guys enjoy this pattern! It was such a blast to make!
