DIY Faux Fur Pillow- Off The Hook Yarn

I know i’m not the only one who likes the faux fur yarn, right? I know that the normal fur yarn can be super intimidating because it can be hard to see your stitches! Luckily, I have a solution for you! This yarn is called “off the hook” yarn which means you don’t need to use any hooks or needles! I designed a super easy tutorial to make a DIY Faux Fur Pillow for you!

You may be asking yourself, “How will we make something without a hook?!” Well, the answer is using our hands! The off the hook yarn has little loops all along the strand. You take these loops and pull another loop through to create your stitch.

I wanted to have a super easy tutorial so you guys could get a feel for it. I created the DIY Faux Fur Pillow tutorial! You can watch the full video where I walk you through making the pillow step by step!

Finished Size:

Pattern:

Count out 16 loops.

Row 1: Take the 17th loop and pull it through the 16th. Take the 18th loop and pull it through the 15th. Continue in this manor by pulling one loop on the working yarn through each of the 16 loops. When you reach the 1st loop, turn your work.

Row 2: Take the next loop on your working yarn and pull it through the first loop of your row. Repeat with each following loop across. Turn.

Repeat Row 2 until your panel measures 16″. Tie off and make a second panel. This time tie off leaving a tail long enough to sew your pieces together. To create the tail snip the center of several loops so they extend into a normal length of yarn. Use a yarn needle and whip stitch 3 sides together. Stuff your pillow. Finish sewing the final side. Weave in the tail of your yarn into the pillow.
