If you’re looking for your next cozy project, the Moonblush Throw is it. This bulky, textured blanket is made with super soft yarn for the ultimate plush feel, and it works up into a warm, inviting piece that’s perfect for everyday use.
I based my Moonblush Throw crochet pattern off of my Moonblush Pullover! I loved all the stitches and textures that I combined in the pullover so much that I knew I needed to make a blanket version. You’ll find a bunch of different variations of Hdc throughout to give it the ultimate cozy and textured look. You’ll notice that a lot of the stitches repeat through the blanket so it’s easy peasy to remember how to do it and your blanket will work up in no time!
This is my very first time using Lion Brands Cover Story Posh Twist yarn. I’m sure we’ve all used blanket yarn at different points in our crochet journeys and this one doesn’t disappoint! I’m so excited that Lion Brand has this yarn available in all different colors. It’s soooo soft and I love that it’s a bulky yarn to give the blanket it’s extra squish. So snagging, splitting or difficulties frogging! If you need some yarn, be sure to check out my kit. It includes all the yarn and the PDF pattern free.
The Moonblush Throw is the perfect blend of softness and texture, designed to wrap you in warmth and comfort. Made with super soft blanket yarn, this bulky crochet blanket works up into a plush, cozy piece you’ll reach for again and again. Rich textured stitches add depth and visual interest while still keeping a relaxing, rhythmic flow as you crochet. A full video tutorial is included to guide you every step of the way, making this a satisfying project from start to finish.

Notes:
When the pattern indicates to work a St “2 rows below”, It simply means instead of working your st into the st from the previous row, go down 1 more row below that and work it into that St.
When the pattern indicates to work your St “in between stitches”, it simply means to work your St in between the actual stitches from the previous row, not the top of the stitch like you normally would.
The Ch 2 at the start of the row does not count as a stitch.
When working your Ch 1 Sts in Row 12, be careful to not pull tightly on the Ch Sts, try to keep a relaxed and even tension.

Border-
Don’t forget to turn after Row 91.
The St count for the border is not crucial to the pattern, just be sure to not work too many Sts along the sides because it will make your border wavy. If you need to you can pull back and readjust your St placement.
Round 1: Ch 1, 1 Sc in each St across the top of the blanket, when you get to the last St of the row work 3 Sc into it. Place a SM into the center St to mark your place. Work Sc Sts evenly down the side of the blanket being very careful to space them out and not work too many. Approximately 2 Sts for every 3 rows. When you reach the corner, work 3 Sc into it and place a SM in the center St. 1 Sc in each St across the bottom until you reach the next corner, work 3 Sc into it and place a SM in the center St. Sc evenly up the second side. When you reach the end, work 2 more Sc into the same St as your first Sc made, Sl St to the top of the first Sc to join, turn.
Round 2: Ch 1, 3 Sc into the first St, 1 Sc in each St until you reach the SM, remove it and work 3 Sc. Repeat this same process around with each SM. Sl St to the first Sc made to join.
