Pattern: Fab Faux Crochet Scarf

This Fab Faux Crochet Scarf was super fun to make! I wanted something warm and cozy to go around my neck and give it almost a cowl feel when its wrapped! I made this scarf in only a couple of nights, so you can definitely knock some out for holiday gifts quickly!

The main portion of the scarf uses the moss stitch. It gives it some gorgeous texture and is very simple to do! If you’ve never used “Go For Faux” before this scarf is a great beginner project for it. You are doing short rows of double crochet with it so it’s pretty easy to count your stitches.

Would you rather try out this scarf in knit? Well, good news! I have a free knit version available as well HERE!

Description: This cozy scarf mixes two different yarns to create a chic everyday accessory. The main portion of the scarf uses moss stitch to create a fun texture. The fur portion is a simple repeat of double crochet rows which is perfect for first time fur users!

Materials:

Gauge: 11 rows by 13 stitches= 4X4” (moss stitch, main pattern repeat- use 6.00mm hook)

3 rows by 7 Dc stitches= 4X4” (with faux fur- use 9.00mm hook)

Finished Scarf Measurements:

67” long

Pattern Notes:

  • I recommend counting your stitches with the Go For Faux yarn by “feeling” them. It can sometimes be difficult to count the stitches by sight alone.

  • Using stitch markers while working with the fur yarn helps to keep track of your rows.
