Summer is in full swing here and I knew I needed to design a comfy tank top to wear! The Racing Summer Tank crochet pattern is light weight, soft and quick to make! It has a cropped look to it but you can easily make it as long as you want! It’s racerback style on the back with spaghetti straps!
I used your typical single crochet V-St for this tank top. What’s a V Stitch? Sc, Ch 1, Sc all into the same space! You will work your V St into the V from the row below! Then just repeat throughout the pattern. Easy peasy. If you want a bit more length just repeat the V St row right before the shaping on the front panel. Be sure to add the same amount of rows to the back as well.
Pair it with some cute jean shorts or a long flowy skirt! The Coboo yarn I used comes in so many nice colors, so you have tons of options! Grabbing the kit from Lion Brand is such a good deal. Basically you are just paying for the yarn and you get the printable PDF for free! They usually have a sale or coupon code running so you can grab it even cheaper! Is there anything better than exploring the woods on a warm summer day? It’s quiet and peaceful, nowhere to be and no responsibilities. You can hear the birds chirping and the creek trickling. That’s what I picture when I wear The Summer Path cardigan at least. 🙂
This cardigan is worked in 3 separate panels. The 2 main panels are worked side to side and the last one is worked bottom up. The one that is worked from the bottom up is the back detail of the cardigan that will be sewn in between the 2 main panels half way up. I’ve made a couple other things are worked side to side. I absolutely love the Triad Stitch that I used in this design! It works up quickly and gives it an open stitch look, perfect for summer! Make sure you pay close attention to where you are sticking your hook for the Triad! I have a video tutorial available for those that need a little extra help. Be sure to check it out!
Stepping out of my color comfort zone with The Electric Sun Tee Crochet Pattern! This oversized top was so fun to make! I used 3 different colors for mine and switched them out with each row. The stitches create a really cool wave effect!
This top is written with plenty of positive ease for a very oversized look! Because of the oversized fit, each of the 3 sized can fit a wide range of body shapes and sizes! You can also make your top longer if you want by adding as many row repeats as you want before you start the shaping of the neckline. Be sure to add the same amount on both panels!
Make sure you do not cut your yarn when you change colors. If you do, you will have a ton of ends to weave in! I kept my yarn attached with each color change. Then, when I come back to that color I simply picked it back up and switched colors. This leaves small floats along the outer edge of your panel. When we sew the front and back panel together, we will sew over the floats and they will be hidden within the seam on the inside of the shirt! And TaDa! You just save yourself a ton of work!

Didn’t I tell you guys that there would be a matching pullover to the beloved Stony Shore Cardigan?! Well here it is… The Stony Shore Pullover! Haha, I had to keep the name the same obviously since they are sister designs. If you enjoyed the Cardigan design then you will definitely love the pullover!
The Stony Shore Pullover crochet pattern is constructed very similar to the cardigan. It’s actually a bit quicker to do because you don’t have to worry about pockets and the trim is a lot smaller! This is an oversized pullover! You do NOT need to size up to get this slouchy look like mine! I am wearing a size small in the photos. Be sure to check the size chart below and pick yours size via your bust size. If you want a less slouch fit, size down.
I used Lionbrand Jeans for the pullover instead of Heartland like I did in the cardigan. However, either one works great for this! So if you prefer Heartland you can still swap it out. Although, I’m in love with Jeans yarn and highly recommend it!

I’m back again with another summer design! This time I made a square neck style tank top with Coboo yarn called The Twist Of Summer Tank! This design is definitely beginner friendly and a very easy make. I used the Lemon Peel stitch to work up the main body of this top. I love the beautiful texture this stitch creates, it’s one of my all time favorites! You might recognize it from my Harvest Pullover!
The Twist Of Summer Tank is worked up in 2 panels from the bottom up. You will create the ribbing first and then rotate to work the main body. Each panel is exactly the same. Next we will sew the panels together, add a quick trim and then crochet the straps!
It’s also super customizable. You can easily add some rows to make it a longer length top or remove rows for a more cropped look! Just adjust the length before tying off your panels.

Oh sweet summer! Summer is my favorite season, what about you? I love the long lazy days, the sunshine and warmth, playing outside with my girls, hiking, swimming and the pretty sunsets! The Sweet Summer Tee is a must-make for the warmer months.
It’s slightly oversized for a comfy fit that flatters all body types. You can easily add or take away rows for a longer or shorter fit. It’s also perfect for beginners because there is minimal shaping and seaming.
I used Lion Brand Coboo for this top. It’s one of my absolute favorite yarns for garments. I used it for my Happy At Home Hoodie and my Bobble Crop Top!
Can you tell I’m more than ready for warmer weather?! The Sweetpea Crochet Top was inspired by beautiful sweetpea flowers blooming in spring! I love the wearability of this top. It layers perfectly over a cami or bralette! The stitches give it a beautiful lacy look.
I used Lion Brand Truboo yarn and let me tell ya…the drape on it is something else! It’s very similar to Coboo but it has a beautiful sheen to it! It’s so silky and smooth, I can’t wait to work with it again. I’ve made an adorable summer top using coboo called The Bobble Crop Top, be sure to check it out!
The Sweetpea Crochet Top is created by making 2 panels and seaming together. You will add arm trim and neckline trim at the end.
I’m super excited to release this pattern and check another wip off of my list! I wanted to make a simple tank top but also didn’t want it to be too boring. You’ll be working through the back loops only throughout the pattern to give it a little flair! I used Lion Brand Merino Silk Cotton for this pattern and really liked it. It’s considered a weight of (1) but I honestly think it passes as more of a Sport/Dk (2 or 3). You should be able to meet gauge with a heavier weight yarn, so be sure to check!

I wanted something loose and comfy to throw on over a sports bra for coverage but didn’t want to be dying of heat! It’s 100 degrees in the summertime here in Utah so the Cross-Back Crochet Top worked out perfectly. I used Lion Brand 24/7 cotton but any cotton yarn will work. It works out perfectly for active wear but it would be super cute dressed up with a pair of jeans too! This pattern is super easy and uses Dc throughout. A larger hook is used for more of a loose fit so be sure to size up if you crochet with a tight tension.
