The Woodlands Blanket Wrap Crochet Pattern

Time to wrap up and get extra cozy in The Woodlands Blanket Wrap crochet pattern! The Woodlands Blanket Wrap, is oversized and easy to make. I wanted to be able to wear a big ol’ blanket wrap around the house but still have my hands available to do things, like crochet! Haha!

This wrap is made in one piece. You’ll start on the bottom of the back side and work in rows up, split the neckline and work the first front side. Then you’ll go back and attach your yarn to the other side to make the second front panel. The pockets can easily be left out if you prefer not to have them. Simply continue with the normal stitch repeat.

You will be using an entire 2 skeins of Pound Of Love yarn from Lion Brand. If you make any adjustments to the wrap (like adding rows) you will need to get a third skein of yarn. I used the color Sugar Cookie for mine but there are soooo many cute colors to chose from. This yarn is also very soft and easy to work with. Even better, you have less ends to weave in because you only use 2 skeins! You can find the kit here, which includes all the yarn and a free copy of the pdf digital download of the pattern.

The Fairy Floss Throw Crochet Pattern

I love a good blanket project that is mindless, don’t you? There is just something about being able to curl up with it, put on whatever current binge worthy show and crochet without having to think about what i’m doing! Even better, The Fairy Floss Throw uses yarn held double. So not only does it work up quicker, it gives a beautiful but effortless look!

The Fairy Floss Throw uses two different yarns, both of them Lion Brand. First is Pound Of Love which is a worsted weight and the second one is Mandala String which is a super fine weight. The Mandala String yarn does allllll the talking in this pattern. It creates a beautiful stripe effect with zero effort on your part.

There are so many different color combinations for this blanket. I used vintage white (but you can also use Vanilla or White for the same look) and Jazz for the mandala yarn. I wanted to see what it would look like with a darker yarn and I totally love it just as much!! Check it out below! You can use Charcoal or Black to achieve this look.

If you want more of a neutral look you can swap out the Jazz color for the color Ballad. I think this would look amazing! I’m so excited to see everyones blankets! If you plan on getting yarn I recommend grabbing the kit from lion brand which comes with a free copy of the printable pattern!

The Morning Mug Cardigan

I’ve been wanting to design a longer style cardigan so that I can wear it over leggings for extra coziness. The Morning Mug Cardigan is long, with oversized cuffed sleeves and deep pockets!

The Fit- This cardigan is long and written with plenty of positive ease for a loose comfy fit. The stitch that I use in it is super stretchy. Once you work up your cardigan and put it on, it stretches another 6-8″ than what is listed in the chart below. The sleeves are extra long so that you can do a large cuff at the end. The large pockets are as wide as the front panel and are added last so you can always keep them off if you want to!

The Yarn- I used Lion Brand Pound Of Love for this design. I feel like this yarn doesn’t get the love it deserves. A lot of times, it is looked over for garments because the skein is SO big and you don’t think you need that much. For this cardigan you will use between 2-3 skeins depending on the size you make. It was actually really nice not having to join in a bunch of skeins while crocheting! It’s also a soft and sturdy yarn which holds up nicely. Another plus is all the color options that are available! I used Elephant Grey for mine but there is a bunch to choose from! Be sure to check out my kit, it comes with the yarn and a FREE copy of my printable pattern!

The How- This cardigan is worked in separate panels from the bottom up. You can easily adjust length by adding or removing the 8 row repeat on the back and front panels. Keep in mind the cardigan uses a stretchy stitch and will stretch down with the weight of the cardigan when worn! The chart below does not include the 6-8″ that the cardi will stretch. The sleeves are long and oversized so that you can cuff them. You will notice that the larger sizes have shorter sleeves. This is because it is a drop shoulder design! If you need to adjust sleeve length you can add or remove rows as well. The pockets are wide and deep. They are the width of your front panel with some decreases on one side. If you don’t want pockets just skip over the instructions and move on to the trim!

The Moonstone Throw Crochet Pattern

The Moonstone Throw crochet pattern is heeeeere! This one was so much fun for me to make. I wanted something simple that was easy enough for a beginner but also wasn’t toooo simple that it would be boring.

Each different color uses the same stitch throughout the blanket. And the blanket is actually only 4 big repeats of the same section! If you like to always have a big project to work on in your WIP rotation then you definitely have to start the Moonstone Throw.

Have you used Lion Brand Pound Of Love before? If not, you have got to give it a shot! This yarn is perfect for blankets in my opinion. It comes in a HUGE skein…a whole pound! It’s also super affordable for all of that yarn. Only $11.69 for an entire 1,020 yards. That is craaaaazy! Also, it has so many cute color options!!

You guys know that I’m blanket obsessed. Here are a couple other free blanket patterns- The Hello Sunshine Afghan and The Draped In Dogs Afghan.
